LG has unveiled the Ultragear GX7 27GX790A, a gaming monitor with a massive 480Hz refresh rate at a 1440p resolution. While most games may not benefit from such high refresh rates, the sharpness and speed of this OLED display make it ideal for fast-paced games. Despite some potential text clarity issues, the image quality and contrast ratio of this monitor are top-notch. The price may be high for a 27-inch 1440p display, but OLED screens are known to demand a premium.
It will be interesting to see how this new panel performs compared to other OLED and QD-OLED technologies, and whether the high price point is justified by the display’s performance.
